Thursday nights in July, Nocturne welcomes back to the stage the talented and always entertaining Adam Bodine. Thursday nights in July, the genre-fusing jazz keyboardist and composer leads a world class lineup of musicians including Joseph Lukasik on woodwinds, Gonzalo Teppa on bass and Dru Heller on drums.

Weaving through an eclectic array of Adam’s dynamic original compositions, each set of music performed by this flexible foursome is a unique and exciting adventure that tickles the imagination. Embracing a wide spectrum of styles and moods, Bodine’s tunes creatively blend flavors from a variety of traditional and modern jazz worlds to produce a fresh, fun and compelling sound. For this special show, Nocturne welcomes back to the stage the entertaining and musically eclectic Adam Bodine. Adam will be joined by Matt Smiley (bass) and Dru Heller (drums).  Renowned Colorado pianist Adam Bodine will be leading a top shelf trio in performing Adam's diverse catalogue of original works.  Adam’s repertoire is constantly shapeshifting and playfully intermingles a broad range of styles, sounds, feels, and moods.  Undeniable is Bodine’s natural musicality and joy of playing, which paired with his lovely sense of humor, always shines on stage and treats audiences to memorable experiences. In addition to this upcoming live performance, also definitely worth exploring are Adam Bodine’s two recent studio albums “Scenes of Changery” and “Nurtured by Nature.”

The 'Ellington Experience' is the ultimate night out at Nocturne, featuring a five course tasting menu with wine pairings, served at just two tables per set in our favorite nook of the main level under the curve of the grand art deco staircase.

- We set aside four to six walk-in bar seats per set. Walk-in guests will have a music charge of $22 per person applied to their check on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Adam is a renowned Colorado pianist that will be leading a collection of Denver's finest jazz artists in exploring the works of the great hardbop pianist Horace Silver.  Adam’s repertoire is constantly shapeshifting and playfully intermingles a broad range of styles, sounds, feels, and moods.  Undeniable is Bodine’s natural musicality and joy of playing, which paired with his lovely sense of humor, always shines on stage and treats audiences to memorable experiences. Kurt Cobain Birthday Show: Adam Bodine Trio plays Nirvana

In addition to Adam Bodine’s eclectic catalog of original instrumental material, the genre-fusing pianist and composer is highly regarded for his jazz trio’s fun and creative interpretations of decade-spanning cover tunes. Sometimes Bodine’s trio treats the audience to a unique performance that studies and honors a musical icon. For this special night Adam and company honor the eternal Kurt Cobain and the music of Nirvana through the lens of the jazz trio format.
