Our acoustically designed room in the heart of Denver plays host to live jazz nightly (Wednesday through Sunday). Check the calendar below for set times as they may vary. Nocturne’s distinctive Artist in Residency programming is at the core of our line up. Most artists who perform at Nocturne engage in a four- to eight-week run that focuses on the exploration of a musical icon, the study of a jazz genre, or the exhibition of an Artist's own original work. This old-school approach to programming combines the unique opportunity to hone one’s craft with regular stage time, while also establishing an elevated rapport with Denver music fans. Nocturne is proud to be the only venue in Colorado that features jazz exclusively, and we are also pleased to feature national touring artists on special occasions.

Supporting the musicians practicing their craft on our stage is important to us - your prepaid dinner reservation includes the artist fees that support fair pay to our music community. You can support in other ways such as purchasing music online, physical CD's or sending Venmo tips to your favorite artists. The music community is strong but still working to rebound from a lot of cancelled gigs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Your support of their craft will keep this art form alive.

The Danish String Quartet & Dinner: by Friends of Chamber Music & Nocturne

The Danish String Quartet

A special show and dinner event presented in partnership with the Friends of Chamber Music.

The Danish String Quartet ( Musical America’s 2019 Ensemble of the Year ) takes to the Nocturne stage in the first of three Denver-area performances. Classically trained with a devoted international following, the Danish (three Danes and one Norwegian) will perform Nordic folk tunes from their highly acclaimed albums, Last Leaf and Wood Works. Whether the Danish String Quartet is performing Beethoven or folk songs, they are known for their powerful performances, intense musicality and "rock star" vibe!

In a very special collaboration with Nocturne's culinary team, this concert will be paired with a 4 course Scandinavian-themed dinner, prepared by Chefs Jeremy Kuney and Dustin Beckner.

Open faced sandwich | Gravlax/mustard/red onion/dill/mayo/rye bread

2nd course: Gulerodssuppe

Carrot soup | Carrots/cream/vegetable stock/parsley

3rd Course: Frikadeller

Pork meatballs | Pork meatballs/gravy/mashed potatoes/dill cucumbers

4th course: Risalamande

Rice pudding | Rice pudding/berry compote


Dinner and Show: Table Seating: $75 per person, includes a floor table and a 4 course Scandinavian inspired dinner*.

*Please note that we can try to accomodate dietary restrictions if you contact us in advance, but may not be able to accomodate if we are notified the day of the dinner.

Optional sommelier selected wine pairings will be available for purchase the night of the event.

Show Only: General Admission Bar/Cocktail seating is available for $30 (a la carte menu available).
