We are delighted to welcome Denver based jazz vocalist Louisa Amend back to the Nocturne stage for two special Mother's Day evening shows with her super swinging quintet (John Gunther- sax, Tom Amend- organ, Alex Heffron- guitar, Austin Hass- drums).
Louisa Amend is a vocalist and educator based out of Denver, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2016 with a Bachelors of Music Education and was a member of a numerous premier ensembles (one earning a Downbeat Magazine best of award) and opera productions produced by the university. After teaching music in public schools for a few years Louisa transitioned into working as a freelance musician and founding her own voice studio and she is quickly becoming a mainstay in the Denver jazz scene.
