The Harry Drabkin Quartet

All day

We are delighted to welcome saxophonist Harry Drabkin and his quartet back to the Nocturne stage for two special nights in November as they feature in part, the music of Coltrane along with some of his ballads, which Joe Lovano was noted to say that he’d play for an alien coming to earth who wanted to learn about jazz. Harry will be joined by a world class rhthym section of: Eric Gunnison on piano, Brian Claxton on drums and Mark Simon on Bass.

Harry Drabkin is a Berklee College of Music graduate as well as a faculty alumni where he performed in the Recording Band, Faculty Jazz Ensemble and more. His influences come from Miles, Coltrane, Cannonball and Charlie Mariano. Harry recently retired as Chief of Oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina and returned to Denver where he is active in our local jazz scene.
