Celebrating community and the beauty of the saxophone, the Wil Swindler Quartet welcomes guest artist saxophonists Saturdays in October and November. In the tradition of the 2-saxophone quintets (Lee Konitz/Warne Marsh, Gene Ammons/Sonny Stitt, Mark Turner/Joshua Reman), this residency features outstanding repertory music as well as originals and tunes selected by each guest. Saxophone guest artists over the course of two months will include Remy Le Boeuf, Briana Harris, Adam Gang, and Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic.
Rhythm section: Steven Denny - piano, Matt Smiley - bass, Alejandro Castaño - drums
