The Jenna McLean Quintet

Sat. 28 Jun, 2025 6:00 pm

Join us for this remarkable two-week series celebrating the return of a Northern Colorado favorite: the masterful, original, and genuine vocalist Jenna McLean. We are delighted to welcome Jenna back to the Nocturne stage to recreate music from her newest album, For Your Love, revisit favorite old standards, and debut new arrangements of cherished tunes from the Great American Songbook. Jenna will be joined by an all-star lineup of local musicians, including Gabriel Mervine (trumpet), David Mesquitic (piano), Domi Edson (bass), and Ryan Leppich (drums).

Jenna McLean is an accomplished modern jazz vocalist with a penchant for celebrating timeless standards with improvisational prowess, swing and simplicity that feels familiar yet contemporary. She was a semi-finalist in the 2023 American Traditions Vocal Competition, the 2019 winner of the Downbeat Student Music Awards Graduate Vocal Soloist Category, and a 2019 recent recipient of the Pathways to Jazz Grant. She has had the pleasure of performing alongside renowned musicians such as Joel Frahm, Pat Coil, Bobby McFerrin, Aubrey Logan and the New York Voices, and also performs regularly with incredible Denver-based jazz musicians such as Annie Booth, Ben Markley, Eric Gunnison, Tom Amend, Dawn Clement, and others.  Jenna is Assistant Professor of Commercial Music/Applied Voice at Idaho State University.
