Ben is an accomplished pianist\, b and leader and composer/arranger\, active throughout the Rocky Mountain fr ont range and has performed with Brian Lynch\, Greg Osby\, Eddie Henderson \, Terell Stafford\, George Garzone\, Bobby Shew and John Fedchock and man y others. Markley's latest big band recording project Clockwise - The Musi c of Cedar Walton (OA2 records) earned a coveted four-star review by Downb eat Magazine in Spring of 2017. Markley is three-time Nocturne artist in residency alum and a professor of music at the University of Wyoming (wher e he directs a number of jazz ensembles and teaches applied jazz piano) an d directs the UW Jazz Festival.
