Andrew Vogt Quartet: Tribute to Gerry Mulligan and Art Pepper

The Andrew Vogt Quartet performs a tribute to Gerry Mulligan and Art Pepper. Gerry Mulligan's baritone saxophone and Art Pepper's alto saxophone helped lead and define the west coast jazz sound of the 1950's. The Andrew Vogt Jazz Quartet will present many of their great compositions as well as select jazz standards they both favored. Being heavily influenced by both musicians, Andrew Vogt has also written and recorded a couple of pieces dedicated to Gerry and Art, and will perform those during his residency at Nocturne as well. 

Since moving to Colorado, Andrew Vogt has established himself as an in-demand freelance sax/clarinet player. He is featured on many artists’ releases including recordings by Mark Sloniker, Paul Mullikin, Adam Bodine and more. Andrew has four CD’s out under his own name entitled “Action Plan”, “Cats Afoot”, “Twirling Zucchini Trio” and his 2019 release "Distracted by Donuts." Andrew Vogt earned a degree in Music Education from the University of Nebraska while majoring in saxophone and minoring in clarinet. In addition to performing, he is proud to be the band director at St. Joseph Catholic School in Fort Collins, and St. John the Evangelist Catholic School and Immanuel Lutheran School in Loveland. He also maintains a private studio, teaching woodwind students of all levels of skill and experience.

During this time of limited indoor capacity, floor seats are only available by reservation as we are limited to 49 socially distanced seats per show/seating.

Music fees are included with all "Dinner and a Show" packages.

For walk-in guests, an artist fee of $15 per guest applies to this show.

We respectfully request that guests limit their visits to 2 hours so that we may properly clean between sets and comply with Denver's current covid occupancy restrictions.
