Duration:
All Day
Categories:

Wednesday nights in September, Nocturne presents The Spencer Zweifel Trio (Matt Smiley on bass and Brian Claxton on drums) performing the music of Burt Bacharach. Bacharach was an iconic American composer, songwriter, producer, and pianist who was known for his sophisticated and stylish pop tunes, many of which translate brilliantly to the jazz idiom.

Spencer Zweifel is an accomplished jazz pianist who has performed in a wide variety of genres across Colorado as well as in tours around the US. Spencer graduated in 2019 with a degree in jazz studies from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2021, Spencer completed a Master’s in jazz studies at William Paterson University, where he studied with Bill Charlap, Aaron Diehl, and Geoffrey Keezer. In 2020 Zweifel formed the Spencer Zweifel Quintet which has since released 2 records, including 2022's 'Before It's Too Late'.
