Fresh off his recent Grammy Award win\, saxophonist and comp
oser Remy Le Boeuf returns to the Nocturne stage to host
a special evening of original modern jazz shaped by strong melodies\, deep
interplay\, and adventurous improvisation. Remy is joined by Jack
Dunlevie - Piano\, Hunter Roberts- Bass and
Le Boeuf is the founder of the j azz orchestra\, Assembly of Shadows\, and the Chief Conductor of the Nordk raft Big Band. He has worked with a range of collaborators including the J azz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis\, Linda Oh\, HAIM\, J ACK Quartet\, Dayna Stephens\, and his twin brother Pascal\, with whom he co-leads the experimental quintet\, Le Boeuf Brothers. Le Boeuf's list of honors include commissions from Chamber Music America\, and the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra\, as well as 7 ASCAP Young Composer Awards\, the BMI Charli e Parker Jazz Prize\, and the Copland House Residency Award. Le Boeuf is the Director of Jazz and Commercial Music Studies at the University of De nver’s Lamont School of Music.
