celebrating the return of a Northern Colorado favorite: the masterful\, o
riginal\, and genuine \;vocalist Jenna McLean. We are delighted to welcome Jenna back to the Nocturne stage to recreat
e music from her newest album\, \;For Your Love\, \;revis
it favorite old standards\, and debut new arrangements of cherished tunes
from the Great American Songbook. \;Jenna will be joined by a
n all-star lineup of local musicians\, including Gabriel Mervine \;(trumpet)\, \;David Mesq
uitic \;(piano)\, \;Domi Edson \;(bass)\, and
Jenna M cLean is an accomplished modern jazz vocalist with a penchant for celebrating timeless standards with improvisational prowess\, swing and s implicity that feels familiar yet contemporary. \;She was a semi-final ist in the 2023 American Traditions Vocal Competition\, the 2019 winner of the Downbeat Student Music Awards Graduate Vocal Soloist Category\, and a 2019 recent recipient of the Pathways to Jazz Grant. She has had the plea sure of performing alongside renowned musicians such as Joel Frahm\, Pat C oil\, Bobby McFerrin\, Aubrey Logan and the New York Voices\, and also per forms regularly with incredible Denver-based jazz musicians such as Annie Booth\, Ben Markley\, Eric Gunnison\, Tom Amend\, Dawn Clement\, and other s. \;Jenna is Assistant Professor of Commercial Music/Applied Voice a t Idaho State University. \;

Perhaps known best for his career as one of America's first internationally-acclaimed conductors\, Bernstein was also a prolifi c composer\, and wrote a number of foundational works of 20th century musi c. For this series\, Jack will be joined by \;Seth Lewis \;on bass and \;Dru Heller \;on drums. \;
