ROYAL ROOST REVIVAL
An original Nocturne series honoring the prodigious art form of bebop returns for a five show run, Saturday nights in July. Curated and led by Colorado based saxophonist/arranger/composer Wil Swindler, this series is inspired by the iconic Royal Roost jazz club on New York's storied 52nd Street in the late 1940's where bebop was organically brought to life by musicians such as Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Tadd Dameron, Fats Navarro, Miles Davis and Max Roach.
Wil Swindler will be joined on the bandstand by a number of special guests including: Eric Gunnison, Jim White, Seth Lewis, Mike Rinko, Greg Gisbert and Paul Romaine.
