FOOD

Elevate the "supper" portion of your jazz and supper club experience with our seasonal three course menu or supplement your dinner with seasonally inspired small plates or cheese and charcuterie offerings.

Included with all "Dinner and a Show Reservations", our three course dinner allows guests to choose between several offerings for each course for a truly customized dinner. Dishes such as grilled Palisade peaches or Berkshire Pork Chops are crafted by our culinary team with a focus on highlighting seasonality and the use of front range farmers, organic ranchers and other small-scale Colorado based purveyors. Most evenings, you can also find a nightly Chef's Special to substitute into your three course tasting.  Our team is also happy to assist in modifying dishes to accommodate most dietary restrictions. To heighten the dining experience, guests can also enjoy wine and cocktail pairings for each course hand selected by our sommelier and award winning beverage team.

Due to demand of "Dinner and a Show" tables, we highly recommend advance reservations.

This experience features a decadent five course tasting with wine pairings, served at tables in our favorite nook of the main level under the curve of our grand art deco staircase. There are just two "Ellington Experience" tables available per set. These seats are $180 per person (plus tax and service) and include a full set of some of Denver's finest live music as well as a visit from the chef and sommelier: Book the Ellington Experience

Our menu is a collaboration between many members of our culinary team. This season's menu includes dishes from Chef Dustin Beckner, Chef de Cuisine Troy Brothwell, Kitchen Manager Al Sedaghat, and Culinary Supervisor Barrett Baskette. Renditions Menu Release: GIANT STEPS by John Coltrane

RENDITIONS VOLUME 15: GIANT STEPS

What happens when an iconic recording inspires a chef and sommelier? RENDITIONS - An interactive 5 course dinner where the art of gastronomy and music collide.

Every two months, the Nocturne hospitality team produces an all new five-course tasting menu that seeks to express the aesthetics of iconic albums through flavor, texture, and emotion. In addition to celebrating the release of the new menu alongside the music live, the night includes interactive chats and course explanations by the musical guests, Chef Greg Weadick, Nocturne co-owner Nicole Mattson and co-owner/sommelier Scott Mattson.  For our 16th menu, we have selected the iconic and genre-altering record Giant Steps, by John Coltrane.

Performing the works live will be the John Gunther Quartet: Eric Gunnison - piano, Ken Walker - bass, Paul Romaine - drums.

Giant Steps was John Coltrane's debut recording on the Atlantic label - put together over just a few sessions in 1959. All seven pieces issued on the original release are original Coltrane compositions that serve as vehicles for Coltrane's brilliant and intense tenor solos. Throughout the recording, a frenetic performance style that noted jazz journalist Ira Gitler accurately dubbed "sheets of sound" can be heard. Coltrane's polytonal torrents extricate the amicable and otherwise cordial solos that had begun decaying the very exigency of the genre -- turning it into the equivalent of easy listening. He wastes no time as the disc's title track immediately indicates a progression from which there would be no looking back. Line upon line of highly cerebral improvisation snake between the melody and solos, practically fusing the two (and pushing his bandmates to their own creative limits).
